The Mentor Club talks leadership with Symon Brewis-Weston from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia .

This inaugural session addresses the importance of lifting your leadership capabilities, through valuable leadership fundamentals that can be adopted in your day to day routine.
Symon Brewis-Weston from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia will be facilitating this relevant session to young leaders developing their career. Recently Symon returned from India where he witnessed empowered individuals create positive changes through visionary, expansive and courageous leadership.
He will share with you his insights which will allow you to make sustainable changes in your business and lead to genuine improvements. It’s important in your role at work that you have the ability to; act with visionary leadership by seeing the world through your client’s eyes, think beyond to share ideas and skills to develop expansive leadership and demonstrate courageous leadership by speaking out when you see an opportunity to make an improvement in the way things are done. Symon takes a personal view that, being a leader isn’t about the title you carry – it’s about your behaviours.
Young Einsteins is thrilled to have Symon launch The Mentor Club as he has been an inspiring Mentor over the last 18 months to Founder, Sarah Curnow.
Symon is the Executive General Manager of Corporate Financial Services following two years as Executive General Manager for Local Business Banking from March 2008 to August 2010.
Prior to this Symon Brewis-Weston was the President Director of the Commonwealth Bank’s Indonesian subsidiary. During his time in Indonesia, Symon was responsible for completing an acquisition and merger of a bank and life company and ensured the bank became the top bank in Indonesia for customer service. Symon also worked in China developing the Commonwealth Bank’s Chinese banking strategy. In addition he also worked in Agribusiness Project Finance. Symon is a trained Economist, and holds a degree in Economics (Hons) and a Master of Applied Finance.
